Personalized Gifts for Dad

A personalized gift for dad works when it is about the thing he is proudest of. For most dads that is a short list: the family, the dog, and something with an engine or a hull.

Paint his boat, his motorcycle or the car he restored; the fish that got bigger every year; his golf swing; or his dog in a royal portrait as the admiral he always said it was. For Father's Day itself, our portraits for dad paint him with the kids. Add a line of your own under the painting, lettered in script at no charge.

Dads are hard to shop for because they claim to need nothing, so paint the one thing he will never say he wants a picture of. A side-on photo of the boat, bike or car works best; for the dog, a photo at eye level. Pencil and line art suit an office or a garage; watercolor and royal suit the living room.
