How long it takes and how it gets to you.
Every piece is painted and printed for you after you order, so the honest answer is a chain rather than a single number. Here is the whole of it.
| Stage | What happens | How long |
|---|---|---|
| You order | Choose the size and frame, and upload your photo at checkout. | — |
| Your proof arrives | We paint the portrait and send it to you to look at. | Within 24 hours |
| You approve it | Ask for changes as many times as you like, at no charge. Nothing is printed until you say yes. | Up to you |
| We make it | Printed, framed if you chose a frame, and packed by hand. | 4–6 business days |
| It travels | FedEx, UPS or DHL, tracked, and free on every US order. | 2–7 business days |
| On your wall | Counted from the moment you approve the proof, not from checkout. | 6–13 business days |
Business days are Monday to Friday and exclude public holidays. The clock on making your piece starts when you approve the proof — approving the same day is the single fastest thing you can do. If you approve on the day you order, most pieces arrive 7 to 14 business days after checkout.
Nothing. Shipping is free on every US order, with no minimum, and it is already in the price.
Not at the moment. If you are elsewhere and want a piece, write to us — we would rather hear from you than have you assume the answer is no forever.
Unframed prints, yes. Framed pieces, no — the couriers who carry them do not deliver to PO boxes.
Tell us the date when you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic. We would rather turn down a deadline than miss one.
Framed pieces travel behind shatterproof plexiglass rather than glass, corner-protected and boxed. Unframed prints ship flat, backed and sleeved — never rolled in a tube.
